Live music starts with a destination
A great gig can be close to home or become the centre of a trip. Our locations directory begins with countries represented in the site’s approved gig records. Each country leads to a page of published upcoming performances and linked cities that have appeared in those records. That gives you a way to move from a broad destination to a more practical choice of where to spend an evening. The collection is worldwide in scope, but it reflects synced sources rather than claiming to cover every place or event.
From country to city to venue
Country browsing is useful when you are flexible about the exact destination. A national view can show several stops on a tour or introduce performers appearing in different cities. The linked city list narrows that view, bringing the venue and local date into focus. A capital is not always the easiest option: another city may be closer, have a more suitable date or fit better with the rest of your journey. Comparing places before buying tickets can make a promising concert much easier to turn into an achievable plan.
Places remain useful between announcements
Live music calendars change constantly. A city may have several published future dates one month and none after those performances have passed. Country and city links are kept from approved records so that an established destination does not disappear simply because its current calendar is quiet. A retained city page is not a claim that an event is taking place there tonight. Check the upcoming list for actual future performances. A destination with no current dates can still be worth revisiting when newly announced tours are added and approved.
Choose a realistic travel radius
Before comparing shows, think about how far you want to travel and how you will return afterwards. A nearby city can be an easy evening out if trains run late enough, but the same distance may require accommodation when the last service leaves early. International trips add more decisions, including travel documents and local transport. The location of a venue within a city also matters: a place name alone does not show its distance from your hotel or station. Check the full address and your outward and return journeys before making non-refundable arrangements.
Dates and local event details
Gig dates are recorded as calendar dates rather than a promise about the exact running order. Event times, where supplied, should be checked against the official listing to distinguish doors opening from the performance itself. When travelling between time zones, use the event’s local information rather than assuming that a time shown online is converted for your location. A weekend trip may also overlap with a performance on the evening before or after your preferred date, so comparing several days can reveal a better match without changing the destination.
Find more than one reason to visit
A location page can be a starting point for an entire musical weekend. After identifying a performer you want to see, look at other published gigs in the country or nearby region that week. Two shows can make a trip more appealing, but leave enough time between them for transport and venue entry. Avoid assuming that venues in the same city are within walking distance. If the second event has no confirmed timing, check with the organiser before building a tight schedule around it. A relaxed plan is often better than one that depends on everything running exactly on time.
Published listings and primary ticket channels
The countries here come from approved gig records, not unreviewed tour extracts. Artist tour sources are reviewed before extraction, and imported gigs need approval before they appear on the public site. Where a permitted primary ticket link is available, it can help you continue to the seller, but ticket availability is not guaranteed. Confirm the artist, venue and date on the destination page before purchasing. For access requirements, age limits, seating or changes to the event, consult the venue and organiser as well as the artist’s official tour information.
Explore the places already connected to music
No country list can represent every local scene, especially while a collection is growing. A missing destination means we do not currently have an approved gig record linking it here; it does not mean that there is no live music there. Use the country names above as the available starting points, then follow a city to examine its published dates. If the performer matters more than the destination, the artist directory offers the opposite route through the same collection. Genre browsing provides another option when you are open to discovery.
