Artists and their next live shows
A favourite song can be the beginning of a great night out. Hearing its singer in the same room, with a crowd sharing the chorus, is a different experience from listening at home. Our artist directory brings together musicians and bands whose tour sources have been synced with Whose Playing? Each name leads to an artist page, where published dates bring the performer, venue and destination together. Start with someone you already love, or take a chance on a name you recognise but have never seen live.
Following a tour, not just one date
A tour can cross cities, regions and national borders. Looking at an artist’s dates together makes it easier to compare destinations rather than treating every concert as a separate discovery. A show close to home might fit a weekday evening, while another could become the reason for a weekend away. The artist page keeps those options alongside one another. Dates are the beginning of the decision, not the whole story: travelling time, accommodation and the venue’s own entry conditions may matter just as much as the performance itself.
From familiar names to new favourites
Music discovery rarely stays inside a single label. Someone drawn to guitar-led pop may enjoy an indie band; a country listener might find something compelling in folk or blues. Where a music type has been recorded for an artist, that label provides another path into the listings. Similar artists are a starting point for exploration, not a promise that two performers sound identical. Listen to recordings, watch a recent live session and consider what attracts you to the music before committing to a ticket.
Reading an artist’s listings
An upcoming gig identifies a date and a place, with a venue, city and country. Some listings also include a region or a time. A recorded time does not necessarily distinguish doors opening from the start of the performance, so the official event information remains important. If an artist has no upcoming dates here, that means no published future gigs are currently available in our listings. It does not prove that the musician has stopped touring, cancelled a tour or has no shows elsewhere. Artists can remain in this directory between announcements.
Official tour sources and published dates
Tour information starts with a source chosen for the artist. The source is reviewed before its events are extracted, and imported gigs remain pending until approved for public display. This separates finding a possible date from publishing it. A later check can update an existing listing, but changes on an artist’s website may not appear here immediately. Before arranging travel or buying a ticket, compare the event with the artist’s official website and the venue’s information. Those details are especially important if a show has moved, been postponed or changed its entry requirements.
Tickets, availability and the final check
A ticket link is included only when it matches one of our permitted primary channels: Ticketmaster, Gigs and Tours, See Tickets, Live Nation, Ticketline or Bandsintown. The presence of a link does not confirm that tickets are still available or that every ticket type is on sale. Read the seller’s description, check the date and venue, and review the total price before completing a purchase. Accessibility arrangements, age limits, seating options and any companion-ticket requirements should be confirmed with the organiser or venue rather than inferred from an artist listing.
Make the music fit your plans
There are several equally useful ways to find a show. Begin with this directory when the performer matters most. Browse genres when you want a particular musical mood without choosing one act first. Browse locations when you have a destination in mind and want to see who is playing there. For a particular day, weekend or month, the main gig search brings date choices into the picture. Comparing these routes can reveal an artist you missed, a nearer venue or a second performance that fits your schedule better.
A growing collection of performers
The directory reflects the tour sources already synced with this site rather than every musician in the world. That distinction matters: a missing name is a gap in coverage, not a judgement about the artist’s importance or whether they perform live. New sources and approved dates can extend the collection over time. Returning to an artist page after a quiet period may reveal a newly announced show, while the existing page still offers a familiar place to start. Choose a performer above to explore the published dates currently associated with them.
